On the Way to Peace – 3rd edition

MaffeisNetwork is proud to present the 3rd edition of the cross-border event: “On the Way to Peace“, that will be take place Saturday, October 10, 2015. Departures from: Agno (FLP station) at 9:00 am and from Ponte Tresa (Park Hirschhorn) at 11:00 am.

The event is part of the route proposed by the Associazione Culture Ticino Network for the year 2015 with the intention of acting as a bridge between the earlier events and the time of the World Forum for Peace, the annual review of the Association boast.

The event consists of a walk-border, dedicated to the issues of peace and solidarity, supported by the presence of special guests like the Polli sisters (track and field Swiss champions), the Frecce Gialle Malcantone, and many other organizations in the area.

Upon arrival in Piazzale Doganale of Ponte Tresa, there will be “union of peoples” between the Swiss group and the Italian group. Later, there will be the typical “maccheronata of Solidarity” (at the municipal hall of Ponte Tresa), enlivened by the presence of entertainment, thanks to the singing performances by “Le Unio” and the choir “Arcobaleno a Pois” from Pura, and the Capoeira performance by the organization”Arti del Drago”.

Afterwards, there will be also the charity lottery (with prizes sponsored by local producers). There will be stands of exhibitors and associations.

The main themes will be peace and solidarity, but especially the woman (fulcrum of the three days of the World Forum for Peace).
